About Me

Hi there! I’m Shuyi Dong (董姝仪), a third-year master’s student majoring in Information Science at Nanjing University, gearing up to pursue a Ph.D. in Information Systems (IS) at a U.S. university starting in Fall 2025. I’m privileged to serve as a Research Assistant, advised by Prof. Tianshu Sun from the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, with close mentorship from Prof. Yan Leng at UT Austin, research fellow Wang Jin from the Stanford Digital Lab, and Prof. Zhao Jin at CKGSB.


Education and Experience

  • Decemeber 2024: Ready to go to the WISE/CIST conference.
  • February 2024: Engaged as a full-time Research Assistant at the Center of Digitalization under the guidance of Prof. Tianshu Sun at CKGSB.
  • January 2024: My first-authored paper was accepted by Information Processing & Management!
  • August 2023: Presented a poster at ASIS&T in London, co-authored with Prof. Jin Mao (WHU), Prof. Lei Pei (NJU), and Prof. Ke Qing (CityU). The experience has been an incredible start to my academic journey.
  • June 2021: Contributed to a Chinese Core journal publication on a multi-source big data-driven personalized recommendation system for mobile libraries.
  • 2020: Led a National Undergraduate Innovation Project on the science of science, focusing on latent scholar communication networks, compiling lecture data from top 211/985 schools.
  • 2019: Organized a field trip to Enshi, Hubei, to research e-commerce for SMEs in poverty-stricken areas, aiding local farmers in establishing e-commerce platforms. This project earned second prize in Wuhan University’s Social Practice Competition—an incredibly rewarding journey!
